Maximising throughput and minimising disruption to users and system resources such as the network or application servers can be a delicate balancing act. We provide the ability to restrict discovery and migration tasks to certain times of the day with the use of Collections. These are groups of remote agents to which tasks and schedules can be assigned. In a global organisation, you may choose to create a migration collection per time zone and have all remote agents in a particular region only migrate archives between the hours of 8pm and 6am, for example. This could be because of WAN connectivity to remote offices or because the archive server in that particular location is near to breaking point and can only be safely accessed out of hours. For other regions, it might be acceptable to undertake migration tasks 24 hours a day.
